Human Dignity Clinic

The course is structured very differently than a typical 'legal clinics' or 'human rights' course. The course does not presume a baseline knowledge of international law, nor will it focus much on mastering this field of law. This course will challenge students to think about the limits of the law as a discipline, and the intersectionality of the law with other disciplines (ex: social work, political science, anthropology, economics, etc.). The course will also be used as an occasion to introduce students to certain inescapable tensions and practical realities of law, as well as the challenges of using the law to promote human dignity. Finally, the course will also push the students to structure and carry out independent and action-oriented research.
