Legal Aid
SNUPLC operates legal aid programs for both members of the university community and vulnerable populations in society—such as workers, children, women, migrants, and persons with disabilities—through collaboration with local communities and external public interest organizations.
Through these legal aid activities for socially marginalized groups, the Center seeks to fulfill the law school’s social responsibility and provide law students with hands-on public interest legal experience, thereby fostering legal professionals with a strong public mindset.
Accordingly, SNUPLC offers free legal consultations to members of the SNU community, including students and faculty, and undertakes public interest litigation, such as supporting lawsuits on behalf of vulnerable groups in the local community, in alignment with its educational and public interest goals.
Legal Consultation
SNUPLC provides free legal counseling to SNU members and local organizations to promote legal welfare on campus and fulfill social responsibilities of law school.
Legal consultations submitted to our Center may be conducted with the participation of SNU Law School students under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Consultations may not be provided for cases in which student participation is not feasible or which do not align with educational or public interest purposes. Due to the nature of our consultations involving student participation, inquiries are addressed in the order they are received. As a result, immediate responses may not be possible. For urgent matters, we recommend seeking assistance from other legal consultation services.
